As Father’s day approaches this Sunday, what does your dad mean to you? According to new statistics, many people don’t regard Father’s Day as highly as Mother’s Day:
“Father’s Day turns 100 years old this Sunday. It’s almost as old as Mother’s Day. And while it may not generate quite the same emotion (or economic activity) as its maternal counterpart, with an estimated 67.8 million fathers in the US, shouldn’t Father’s Day get the same respect?
Well, it doesn’t, according to a Rasmussen poll which revealed a wide disparity in people’s attitudes. The odds an adult considers Mother’s Day to be one of the nation’s most important holidays are 1 in 3.23. The odds for Father’s Day are just 1 in 7.14—less than half (Source).”
Do you agree? Is Mother’s Day more significant than Father’s Day?
